Founded as the newest mission within the UPC Space Program, ATLAS is dedicated to developing high-performance drones while applying advanced technical aerospace knowledge. By leveraging and expanding knowledge in key areas such as aerodynamics, structural engineering, and control systems, ATLAS aims to push drone performance to its peak.
To achieve this goal, ATLAS is currently focused on two major projects: SAR and Argos. The SAR project intends to participate in the 2025 Student Air Race, a challenge that demands both innovative structural design and precise control systems integration, testing the skills and creativity of the team. Meanwhile, Argos focuses on achieving high levels of autonomy, enabling independent navigation and dynamic responses. Through Argos, ATLAS seeks to create an adimensional system that integrates with future drones, enhancing autonomous capabilities and expanding potential applications.
ATLAS goes beyond simply building drones; it’s about advancing knowledge, showcasing the team’s capabilities, and establishing a strong European presence with each project.
